The Three Amigos
Behind the newsletters, TV Shows, website, and the company were just a few dedicated people making it all happen. During that time there were 1000's of hours and dollars contributed to the community service, and a bit of high-fives should be in order for their efforts as well.
Here is a "Where Are They Now" page to let you know who AZSJ was behind the scenes. |

Michael Rosenberger
Continues to work in Education, helping faculty to improve teaching and learning. Still active as a tech geek and multimedia guy as well. Spends most his time with his wife LeAnn and two boys (Padon and Preston), who many of us watched grow over the years. Not as active in hunting, they still get out a few times a year to knock the dust out of the barrels and shoot holes in the sky.

Doug Burt
Since AZUHO / AZSJ TV Doug has been working for the Arizona Game and Fish Department. First as a Public Information Officer, and currently as the Hunting and Shooting Sports Recruitment and Retention Program Manager. He attributes the experiences and relationships from AZUHO / AZSJ TV as crucial in this career path. He continues to work with nearly every sportsmen and conservation organization through an alliance called the Hunting and Angling Heritage Work Group - HAHWG (hog), which has gained national recognition as a model for preserving our hunting heritage - and assuring our wildlife resources for future generations. Personally, he has a son and an daughter who love the outdoors, exploring and experiencing wildlife. Bird hunting remains his passion, yet doesn't hunt as much as he'd like too.
He sends his humble thanks and gratitude to all who made AZSJ the community it had become. |
Chris McCotter
Still the avid hunter, maybe more so now than ever. Volunteers as a AZ Hunter Ed Instructor and mentor at AZGFD youth game camps. He took up guiding for Diamond Outfitters which seems to only add to his time spent wandering the woods. Yet the hunts that he looks forward the most on are those spent with his wife and kids. Lately he's found himself helping his wife complete her Royal Slam on wild turkeys in which she only needs a Rio Grande to complete the list. His two kids have joined the hunting ranks and his daughter has already filled the freezer on more than one occasion with elk, javelina and a merriams turkey. With mixed emotions 2016 brings forward the last of the new Jr. hunters in the house with his son completing hunters ed. Having four applications from the family of hunters submitted for elk, deer, turkey, antelope, sheep and other various critters there stands to be a chance of fresh wild game meat in the freezer each year. That is if the guide can do his part, or so we're told. For the most part, the only non outdoor activity you'll find listed on his calendar are the meetings he attends where he volunteers as committee members on both his kids school board and as a board member at his church.
